Surface Duo en Duo 2 hebben onofficiële Android 14-firmware ontvangen

Surface Duo beëindigde vorige maand zijn levenscyclus. Microsoft blijft de Surface Duo 2 nog steeds ondersteunen, maar het bedrijf heeft geen haast om Android 12L te updaten naar de nieuwste versie. Er is echter een oplossing: niet-officiële firmware (ROM), die onlangs beschikbaar is gekomen voor gebruikers.

Surface Duo-bezitters kunnen de eerste onofficiële Android 14-firmware voor hun toestel downloaden. Deze versie is ontwikkeld van Thai Nguyen (Thai Nguyen), een voormalige Microsoft-ingenieur die eerder Android 13 naar Microsoft-smartphones porteerde.

Je kunt Android 14 ROM voor Surface Duo en Surface Duo 2 downloaden van GitHub. Het wordt aanbevolen een back-up van uw gegevens te maken voordat u de firmware bijwerkt.
