The Exynos 850 is an 8nm processor for budget smartphones


Samsung designs its own chipsets Exynos for several years. The South Korean smartphone maker normally uses both processors, either Qualcomm Snapdragon than Exynos for their flagship and mid-high-end devices, while more the Exynos for their budget devices.

That said, the company recently added a new entry in the Exynos range of processors to its site, theExynos 850. This processor is already featured in the recently announced Samsung Galaxy A21s, a low-end smartphone from Samsung’s Galaxy A range.

According to the specifications listed on the product page, the Exynos 850 has a Octa-core CPU composed of two core clusters ARM Cortex-A55 clocked at up to 2.0 GHz. The SoC also includes ARM’s Mali-G52 GPU with support for LPDDR4X RAM and eMMC 5.1 memory.
