Qualcomm shows the WiGig technology present on Qualcomm 810

During an interesting event held a few days ago in New York, the colossus Qualcomm showed for the first time to the public the WiGig technology that we will find aboard the next and powerful Snapdragon 810. This new evolution of the 60Hz Wi-Fi will allow for higher speeds than current technology, but not only.

To be able to demonstrate the power of this new technology WiGig, Qualcomm used two tablets with the on board Snapdragon 810. One of the two tablets was connected wirelessly to a 4K monitor, to which a 4K video saved on the second tablet is transmitted.

As you may have noticed, the video is reproduced very smoothly without loss of signal or a few frames. What has intrigued many users is the amount of bandwidth still free, or 1.5 gigabits per second free on the 7 that this new technology can offer.

Unfortunately we will have to wait a few more months before having it on our devices.
