One X, still problems with WiFi: HTC working to solve
After the problems initially encountered on the first specimens, a new type of malfunction concerning the HTC One X WiFi antenna is currently touring specialized forums and portals. It is about a problem that would particularly affect the HT23 and HT24 models. The house announced that it was working to find a solution as soon as possible.
As it often happens, the first stone was thrown on xda-developers, where many users have complained of malfunctions to the WiFi part of their device: many in fact report sudden loss of signal or even the total disappearance of the WiFi signal. On the forum it was therefore fine-tuned a real “handbook” which contains, among other things, an extremely simple method that allows you to detect the actual presence of the malfunction on your device, the so-called “squeeze test”
- Gently squeeze the side back of your phone, between the camera lens and the volume buttons. If your WiFi signal strength improves only to drop back down when you stop squeezing, then you have this seemingly common fault

As can be seen, following the pressure on the back of the device the signal undergoes a marked increase: this, according to the author of the topic and the many users who participate in it, would be a clear symptom of this WiFi antenna problem.
The author does not fail to suggest then different types of solution to the problem, from the obvious sending under warranty to various do-it-yourself methods: in any case HTC has made it known that it has activated to collect feedback from their customers in order to solve this serious problem as soon as possible.
