LG G3, 3A technology for better battery management

The our article of the past few days has highlighted the key features of LG G3. After the presentation of the new flagship device of the Korean company, however, further and interesting technical details emerged: among these, the optimizations designed to guarantee a major battery life.

As we know, LG G3 is equipped with 5.5 inch Quad HD display, a rather onerous component regarding energy consumption. However, the set of measures dedicated to battery management, called 3Awould lead, according to the manufacturer, the device to have the autonomy that it would have if it were equipped with a “simple” 1080p display.

The 3A of the wording indicate the three functions that make up the system: functionality Adaptive frame rate it decreases the refresh rate of the display if you were viewing still images, consequently decreasing consumption; the functionalities Adaptive clocking and Adaptive timing control instead, they are concerned with optimizing the management of system resources, limiting, when possible, the use of the CPU to a minimum.

The first tests reveal positive results regarding the consumption of LG G3: we just have to check that the promises are kept even in daily use.
