Google Play Store brings interesting features
G.or Google Play Store hosts millions of apps and to help users find the right one, the company continues to introduce new features for simplify the process offering more useful information. For example, in early March, the internet giant added new download count and app size components to search results.
So in an effort to help users find them easily app, Google has started testing new search filters for ratings. Now, according to a recent report by Android Policethe company began showing videos of related gameplay from YouTube in the Play Store listing to give users an idea of what to expect when they download a game.
The videos of related gameplay vThey appear in the new “Watch Others Play” section on popular game lists on the Play Store. As you can see in the attached screenshot, the recommended videos are from YouTube and appear in a side scrolling carousel in the new section.
At the moment, it is unclear whether the videos are played directly in the Play Store or if they open in the app YouTube. Google is currently testing the feature with a limited number of users. Furthermore, as pointed out by Android Policethe company may use this feature to promote the content of its YouTube Gaming partners on the Play Store.
