ASUS Zenfone 5: expected to be released in March 2018
Asus has officially presented, in Europe, its new line of ZenFone 4 but according to the words of Jerry Shen this will soon be replaced by the new ones ASUS Zenfone 5.
The official release of the Zenfone 4 series was expected in the spring of 2017 but, due to various marketing problems, the release was postponed, thus weighing on the financial results of the company.
However, news comes from Asus CEO Jerry Shen which, releasing some statements, hinted that the Zenfone 4 series will have a short life and can be replaced by the new series Zenfone 5 starting as early as March 2018.
Most likely the new series will come unveiled officially in Barcelona on the occasion of Mobile World Congress 2018 which will be held between the months of February and March. In the interview Shen has declared that Asus has the main goal of becoming one of the first 7 global smartphone manufacturers within the first quarter of 2018, in order to become a leader in the smartphone sector as well as for notebooks and PCs. From an economic point of view, Shen hopes that thanks to the improvement in operational efficiency and the increase in the selling price of the Asus ZenFone 4, which will be more expensive than the Zenfone 3 range, the company will be able to have more revenues having a very Q4 2017. profitable and managing to increase production in order to fulfill all the promises made so far.
