Xbox Studio The Initiative hires devs from The Last of Us and Uncharted

Xbox Game Studios’ The Initiative studio has announced two more strong members to its team, both with shares in Naughty Dog’s super productions, such as The Last of Us – Part II and Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. The revelations were made through the social networks of the new members and confirms yet another arrival of ex-Sony developers and producers to the competitor.

Former Naughty Dog melee animation leader, responsible for working on The Last of Us, The Last of Us – Part II and Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 4, Lee Davis will be the new game animation leader for The Initiative. The dev has already updated his professional profile on LinkedIn, which was published on the social networks of insider Klobrille.

The second name is Lauren Garcia, a former character shading leader at Naughty Dog. The new contractor from developer The Initiative will work as a leader in shading technologies.

Now, the new members will join a team that already has the participation of names like Brian Westegaard, ex-God of War, and veterans of Crystal Dynamics, Bungie, Rockstar Games and BioWare. The studio is currently working on a “mysterious” project to produce an AAA game.
