Xbox Germany lists Final Fantasy VII Remake for March 3 and back

On the night of last Tuesday (9), the German division of Microsoft published on its social networks a video dedicated to promoting Final Fantasy VII Remake. Nothing unusual, were it not for the fact that Square Enix is ​​only promoting the PS4 version of the game (which should have temporary exclusivity on the platform) and that the published video stated that the RPG arrived on Xbox One on March 3, 2020.

The information generated some controversy, since all the promotional material released so far did not mention at any time any platform other than Sony. Although in the promotional materials Square Enix has removed the phrase “Play first on PlayStation 4”, it remains the only console whose brand has appeared in the trailers so far.

In an official response, Xbox Germany said it had made an “internal error on its Social Media team” and had already removed the material from the air. However, it remains to be seen whether this cannot be an indication that Square Enix should start showing Final Fantasy VII Remake on other platforms soon.
