Xbox and Space Jam New Legends together: a contest has started to create an arcade video game inspired by the film

Today, Xbox has announced a special collaboration in view of the release of the expected film Space Jam New Legends in 2021. The epic partnership will kick off a contest aimed at players over 14 who, from today until December 31, will be able to unleash their creativity and propose an original idea for the creation of an arcade video game inspired by the film .

To participate in the contest it is necessary to consult the dedicated website, read the Rules, choose a representative image and describe your idea in less than 500 words. Among the other prizes and gadgets up for grabs within the contest, the two winning ideas will be included with appropriate credits in the official arcade-style Space Jam New Legends video game, available in 2021 on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

The new partnership between Xbox and Space Jam New Legends also includes a series of initiatives specifically designed to help programmers of all ages to put their ideas to work: in this regard, the Microsoft Stores will host free virtual workshops inspired by the Space film. Jam New Legends. Students will build a playable prototype of a video game using block-based coding on the MakeCode Arcade platform, all while learning about the necessary professional skills and possible STEAM careers in game design.

Plus, two Microsoft Learn lessons are available for more experienced programmers, designed specifically for high school, college, and older programmers.

The contest dedicated to Space Jam New Legends, the coding seminars and the lessons offered within this initiative are part of Microsoft’s broader project aimed at acquiring new digital skills with the aim of helping 25 million of people all over the world to acquire the skills necessary to put their passions to good use.

To celebrate the upcoming Space Jam: New Legends movie, Xbox and Warner Bros. have just announced Space Jam: New Legends – The Gamean arcade-style title for players aged 10 and up and inspired by the winners of our December contest.

Space Jam: New Legends – The Game will be launched exclusively on July 1, for a limited time only on Xbox Game Pass Perks, free and additional benefits program including game add-ons, consumables and partner offers available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, prior to its general availability of15th of July.
