The new Galaxy Z Fold 3 consumes 25% less energy

S.amsung officially presented its new folding devices, Galaxy Z Fold 3 And Z Flip 3, at last week’s Galaxy Unpacked event. One of the main objectives of the third generation leaflets was that of make them more durable for daily use.

For example, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 has IPX8 water resistance, a new film protective on the internal display for better structural integrity, a stronger metal hinge and more.

In addition to the increased durability, there are other improvements that Samsung did not tell us about at the launch event. It turns out that the Galaxy Z Fold 3 comes with a new generation of OLED panel called Eco²OLED which claims to be much more energy efficient than current OLED technology, while also offering an eco-friendly design and an improved under-display camera.

The Eco²OLED display solves both problems removing the traditional polarization layer, which in turn improves the transmission rate up to 33% and reduces energy consumption by up to 25%. In simpler terms, the new panel technology offers a brighter display while using less power.
