The macOS Big Sur 11.3 Release Candidate is now available for developers

Apple has released a developer beta of Release Candidate for macOS Big Sur 11.3, with the final release in late April.

The latest beta versions and configuration profiles can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center, with subsequent changes available as over-the-air updates on enrolled devices.

The Release Candidate version comes after the eighth beta version for macOS Big Sur 11.3. The current beta period for macOS 11.3 has been long since the first build on February 2.

The build number for macOS 11.3 RC is 20E232.

Among the changes detected so far in the beta versions are interface alterations for Apple News and Apple Music, with the latter adding live events to the Listen Now section of the app. The Reminders app also gets a new way to sort items.

We, and Apple itself, strongly advise users not to install beta versions on primary or “mission critical” devices, as there is the remote possibility of data loss or other issues. Instead, testers should install beta versions on non-essential or secondary devices, and ensure that there are sufficient backups of important data before upgrading.
