Sónar+D, when music, science and technology come together to make art
Sónar+D, an international congress that annually brings together thousands of professionals in Barcelona, will hold its seventh edition from July 17 to 20. A meeting place for artists, technologists and creatives from different fields.
Art is constantly evolving. The digitization and the technology, as in all social spheres, has also influenced art. In fact, we could say that both have become very close friends. An example of this is the innovative works of art that can be seen at ARCO, Sónar+D or even the #teamLab exhibition that is currently in the Espacio Foundation of Telefonica.
Didn’t you know Sónar+D? Every year, taking advantage of the context of the famous Barcelona music festival, this international congress is held that explores how creativity modifies our present and imagines new futures. It has been held since 2013 and brings together around 5,000 artists, technologists, creatives, musicians and filmmakers. A congress that, in addition to presenting works and projects, serves as a networking.
The seventh edition of Sonar+D will be held on July 17, 18, 19 and 20, and will take place at Fira Montjuïc, where musical performances will be organized in the morning and afternoon. In addition, according to the organization, the congress will have 5,000 professionals from 2,100 companies in 60 different countries that will fill the event with workshops, presentations and audiovisual experiences.
