Return of Fatal Frame depends on Nintendo, says director
At this point, fans of horror games must surely be wondering about the possibility of having a new Fatal Frame. Keisuke Kikuchi, director of the game, even wants to work with the series again, but stressed that this is something that depends on Nintendo.
It is worth remembering that the original trilogy was released by Koei Tecmo, and the rights of the series passed to Mario’s house later. The most recent title in the franchise was released for Wii U (Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water), but apparently did not achieve the desired success.
The director also revealed that he wants to make a new title for the series available for Switch in conjunction with the film that will hit the screen at some point in the future, but that Big N needs to show some interest in this project for it to come to life.
