Remedy is prepared for a new generation of consoles and has 2 games in the oven
In a recent financial report, Finnish Remedy Entertainment revealed its next plans. The studio responsible for Control is working on two new titles and extra content for two other games. However, information in the statement drew a lot of attention. In a statement, the studio said it was doing “ongoing work and preparing for the next generation consoles, which will be launched in 2020”.
In this way, the company makes reference to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, devices that come to the market at the end of this year. Therefore, players can look forward to future titles from the developer for the next generation.

New games in development
Elsewhere in the report, the studio revealed that it was working on a project tentatively named Vanguard, described as “a game that combines multiplayer experience based on long-term services and exclusive Remedy resources”.
The developer gave few details about the second title in production. It is just quoted as “a project that has not yet been revealed” and that its development “is going well”.

Extra content for games released
As promised by Remedy, Control will receive a new DLC later this year. According to the report, the studio is working on content that will complement the game’s history by critically acclaiming it in 2019.
Finally, the development of the crossfire X shooter story mode was highlighted. As previously revealed, the studio is producing the singleplayer campaign for the title of South Korean Smilegate Entertainment in partnership with Microsoft. Expected to come out in the second half, it will be exclusive to Xbox One.
