Red Dead Redemption could win remake for PS5 and Xbox Series X

Red Dead Redemption could win remake for PS5 and Xbox Series X

Rockstar Games has been relatively quiet since the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 in October 2018. However, a recent leak could indicate that a remake of Red Dead Redemption may emerge in 2021.

The rumor came from the 4chan forum (so it is a very weak source) and states that it will be a complete remake of the original game, using the engine of the second game. In addition, it will have improved mechanisms, such as for fishing and hunting, and we will see new missions.

It may even be possible for the developer to find a way to mention Arthur Morgan, as it is strange that the character is part of the timeline that precedes the title and never be mentioned in it.

Another rumor information is that some of the original voice actors will be cast, such as Rob Wiethoff, the voice behind John Marston. The person responsible for the leak also said that an announcement will be made soon and that the remake will be released for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X sometime in 2021.

For those in doubt as to whether this would be a DLC for Red Dead Redemption 2, the person behind the rumor denied that possibility, explaining that it really will be a complete and independent remake. And apparently, an expansion to Mexico in Red Dead Online may also be underway, as a tribute to this redesign of the original game.

Again, it is worth remembering that this information came from 4chan, so we cannot consider the source as one of the most reliable. However, it would be very cool if it were true. For now, all we can do is wait to find out whether these rumors will be confirmed or not.
