Little Nightmares II Enhanced Edition is now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC

To usher in gamescom 2021, BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Europe announces the launch of Little Nightmares II Enhanced Edition, the next generation version of the acclaimed title, now available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S and PC. Little Nightmares II it also reached the milestone of 2 million copies sold.

On consoles, Little Nightmares II Enhanced Edition is available for free for users who already own the PlayStation 4 or Xbox One version, while on PC, the Enhanced Edition can be downloaded via a patch.

Developed by Supermassive Games, the next generation version of the game will offer several improvements over the original title. Two modes will be available, a Performance mode that will allow you to play at 2160p and 60fps, and a Beauty mode, which will see the game reach 4K with a dynamic resolution and 30fps. Here are all the details on the contents of the Enhanced Edition:

  • Beauty Mode * – Little Nightmares II runs at 30fps at 4K resolution with enhanced Ray Tracing.
  • Performance Mode * – Freezes the game at 60 fps. Dynamic resolution up to 4K to maintain 60 fps with Ray Tracing.
  • Ray Traced Reflections – Allows any shiny surface to provide a reflection. The sharpness and definition depend on the different surfaces.
  • Volumetric Shadows – Higher resolution of volumetric shadows. Light rays are disturbed by objects and characters moving in front of a strong light source.
  • Interactive Particles – Particles are more abundant and dynamically influenced by Mono, Six and the main antagonists. The particles float and swirl behind them, creating a more realistic and immersive environment.
  • Immersive Audio – New and immersive mix of 3D soundscapes, resulting in a more compelling experience when listening through headphones or a 5.1 / 7.1 sound system.

The PC version will also benefit from these improvements, which will be customizable by users.
