LG Watch Urbane: high technology meets – finally – elegance
In preparation for the Mobile World Congress 2015 to be held starting from next March 1st in Barcelona – where we will be present as every year LG presents the new Watch Urbanethe first Android Wear smartwatch that combines elegance and high technology.
Like the previous G Watch R, the new smartwatch incorporates a 1.3-inch plastic OLED circular display surrounded by a much more elegant and formal design which, thanks also to the stainless steel case available with a glossy silver or gold finish and a leather strap. stitched, gives the feeling of a luxury device.
Just like LG G Watch R, LG’s new Android Wear device includes a photoplethysmography (PPG) sensor that can measure the wearer’s heart rate, as well as average heart rate during physical activity; the Always-On mode instead shows the time on the display with lower brightness to save energy.
“The classic design and smart features make LG Watch Urbane the perfect smartwatch to complete the range currently made up of LG G Watch and G Watch R, more informal devices designed for sports enthusiasts,” he said Juno Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “LG Watch Urbane is an integral part of our strategy, which aims to develop wearable devices that can become an accessory to wear every day, and not an electronic gadget.”
