Kyocera DuraForce Pro: new rugged-phone with action-cam
A few days ago Kyocera officially presented the new DuraForce Proor rather an interesting rugged-phone that also integrates an action-cam into the body for sports and underwater shooting.
The new Kyocera DuraForce Pro is a mid-range device, equipped with:
- 5-inch display with Full HD resolution
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor
- 2 GB of RAM
- 32 GB of internal memory (expandable via microSD)
- Connectivity: Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC
- 5 megapixel front camera
- 3240mAh battery with Qualcomm QuickCharge 2.0
- Android 6.0 Marshmallow
- Biometric sensor
- Android for Work
Being a rugged-phone there is no shortage of IPX6 certification to withstand immersion in water (for 30 minutes up to 2 meters deep) and further military certifications for resistance to falls, dust, scratches and much more.
Another peculiarity of the DuraForce Pro is the multimedia sector, in fact on the back we find 2 sensors, the standard 13 megapixel one is accompanied by a second 135 ° wide-angle sensor which through its own ISP can manage maximum shooting in Full HD, slow-motion and other sports modes.
Given this action-cam soul Kyocera also plans to create a series of accessories that allow you to attach the smartphone to helmets, handlebars and much more. Unfortunately, the selling price is still unknown.
