Huawei P30 and P30 Pro: everything we know one day after launch

Although the official presentation is scheduled for tomorrow, the network is already full of leaks regarding the new top of the range Huawei P30, P30 Pro and P30 Lite. Let’s make a brief summary.

huawei p30 pro

Let’s start with a roundup of indiscretions regarding the older brother: Huawei P30 Pro should feature an OLED display from 6.47 ″ with Full HD + resolution (1080 × 2340), with drop notch and integrated fingerprint reader. For the processor we talked about the Kirin 980 accompanied 8GB of RAM and 128 or 256GB of internal memory, expandable up to an additional 256GB with NM card. According to some rumors, a variant with 512GB of internal memory should also be made available, but we will not be sure of this until tomorrow’s presentation. As for the dimensions we are talking about 158 x 73 x 8.41mm for a total weight of 192g.

The photographic sector should be grandiose, with 4 rear sensors: a lens from 40MP with OIS and f / 1.6, a wide angle from 20MP f / 2.2, a telephoto lens from 8MP f / 3.4 and 10x hybrid zoom and a ToF (Time of Flight) camera. The front camera, on the other hand, should have a resolution equal to 32MP and focal aperture f / 2.0.

There will be Bluetooth 5, NFC, certification IP68 and Type-C 3.1 connector. Unfortunately, it seems that the 3.5mm jack will not fit. The battery will likely have a capacity of 4200mAh and will support fast charging. On the software side we will find instead the EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

As for the possible prices, we are talking about 999 € for the 8/128 version, that they should become € 1099 for cutting with 256GB of internal memory.

This is how it should be the sales package of the smartphone:

huawei p30

This basic version shouldn’t deviate much from the Pro: The display will presumably be smaller and not curved, with a diagonal of 6.1 ″ and FullHD + resolution. To accompany the processor Kirin 980 there should be 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable internal memory always with NM Card.

The most relevant difference concerns the photographic sector: if the front camera looks like it will be equipped with 32MP like that of the older brother, the same cannot be said of the rear chamber. The latter should have three sensors: a main one from 40MP, one wide angle from 16MP and a telephoto lens from 8MP.

The 3.5mm headphone jack, along with NFC, Bluetooth 5 and certification IP68.

Slightly smaller should be the battery: 3650mAh with fast charging support. On the software side, the presence of EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

€ 749 is the most accredited introductory price on the net.

huawei p30 lite

The Lite version of Huawei P30, instead, it should have mid-range specifications: The display, an IPS from 6.15”With a resolution of 1080 × 2312, it will present the same drop notch as its bigger brothers. The processor will most likely be the Kirin 710while for RAM and internal memory we think of two different cuts: 4/64 and 6/128.

As with the P30 and P30 Pro the front camera should take pictures a 32MP, while on the back we should find three sensors: one from 20MP, one from 8MP and one from 2MP.

Let’s imagine the presence of a battery slightly larger than 3000mAh, capable of supporting fast charging and, on the software side, the inevitable EMUI 9.0 based on Android 9.0 Pie.

A list price of around € 369 is likely.
