Honor presents Play and 9i (2018) with Turbo GPU technology

Honor presented two new smartphones in China: the Play and the 9i. They both have a price in a lot aggressive and propose a new software technology called Turbo GPU.

Honor Play integrates the high-end SoC Kirin 970, 4 or 6 GB of RAMa display in 19.5: 9 with notch And dual camera and rear biometric sensor.

The main features are as follows:

L’Honor 9i it is a cheaper product, but which does not give up interesting features. First we find on board the Kirin 659, a slightly smaller display, as well as the scaled-down battery. Here too (unfortunately?) There is no lack of notch and the double rear chamber next to the fingerprint reader.

Both devices integrate a new technology developed by Honor, the Turbo GPU.
Through software optimizations, the Chinese manufacturer promises to increase performance in the gaming and in the use of content HDR of about 60%, compared to one reduction of consumption estimated at 30%.
As this is a non-hardware feature, it has been announced that other devices will also be able to benefit from this technology in the future. Who knows even the older sister Huawei you don’t start implementing the Turbo GPU on your smartphones too.

The new products were presented on Chinese territory and their future appearance on the European market is not yet certain, perhaps with different nomenclatures.
