“Frostbite Go”, the EA Games Game Engine will arrive on Android
Frostbite is a graphics engine compatible with Windows, Ps3 and Xbox 360, made by EA Games and DICE back in 2008 for the Battlefield shooter. The engine was then developed up to version 2.0, and is currently considered to be one of the best on the market now EA has announced its mobile version, Frostbite Go.
On the EA Games website we read that Frostbite Go is intended for Android, iOS and for major mobile platforms, so it is reasonable to expect a version for Windows Phone as well.
We do not know when this OS will arrive on the market or what will be the first titles to exploit it. But certainly its release will be a big step forward in Android gaming after the arrival of Unreal Engine, and we can’t wait.
