Final Fantasy 7 Remake producer does not rule out new Parasite Eve

In an interview with the former professional fighter Kenny Omega (in honor of Omega Weapon), Yoshinori Kitase, producer of Final Fantasy 7 Remake, gave a few words about Square Enix’s latest title, due to arrive on PlayStation 4 on April 10 this year. The conversation, recorded in a video released by Square Enix Channel, on YouTube, revealed a little behind the scenes of RPG, as well as reviving important names in the classic game market, such as Parasite Eve.

Kitase, responsible for directing the last title of the survival horror franchise, The 3rd Birthday, released in 2010 exclusively for the PSP, commented on the possibility of bringing the police agent Aya Brea for the new generation of consoles, this time thinking about the current graphic quality and the immense technological potential that video games have managed to achieve. “Yes, it is true that I worked on the PSP version of The 3rd Birthday. The characters were quite rich and deep, especially Aya Brea. I don’t know of any plans at the moment, but it would be a waste not to use these characters”, clarified the producer .

Originally released by Square Enix in 1998 for the PlayStation One, the horror JRPG guaranteed, in a short time, a special place in the hearts of the fans, rescuing elements of the consolidated Resident Evil, such as movement, camera and main mechanics, and being one of the main inspirations for the atmosphere and the proposal of Silent Hill, one of the most acclaimed franchises of all time.

With three games released between 1998 and 2010, nothing more has been heard about the saga, with many fans already giving up on seeing it again on their consoles. Will it now?
