Cyberpunk 2077 will treat consoles as “first-class platforms”
Although it showed the Cyberpunk 2077 demos running on very powerful PCs, CD Projekt RED guarantees that this does not mean that the game will look ugly on consoles. According to the developer explained to the WCCFTech website, they will be treated as “first class platforms” and will deliver impressive visuals.
According to Alvin Liu, a member of the developer, the RED Engine is quite versatile and can work on both a console and a $ 2,000 PC – which, obviously, will have some graphical advantages. “But the graphics are impressive for what you will find in Cyberpunk 2077 on consoles and on low-performance PCs.”
Liu says that the CD Projekt RED graphics engine was built in such a way that, in the end, it was not a big challenge to adapt it to more modest hardware. Something we tend to believe, especially given the fact that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will get a Nintendo Switch version in the near future.
Currently undergoing its final stage of development, Cyberpunk 2077 hits stores on April 16, 2020. CD Projekt RED has three studios dedicated to the game and promises to bring both free DLCs and paid expansions, which will have generous sizes and content to justify the investment of the players.
