Assassin’s Creed Odyssey bans effortless level quests
Created by Ubisoft as a tool that expands Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, the game’s creation mode is also being used to accelerate character progression. Realizing that it is possible to create simple missions that yield a lot of effortless experience, many people are using the creations to “farm” levels.
Who was not happy with that was the developer, who stated that such missions “risk the overall quality, integrity and purpose of the Story Creation Mode, resulting in less visibility for the creative, interesting and downright fantastic community stories that have been published” .
Bans and restrictions
With that, Ubisoft announced that it will ban Assassin’s Creed Odyssey from all players who create missions that provide easy experience without much effort. In addition to recommending the existing recommendations system options, the company will reinforce its notification system and promise other solutions for what it considers to be a problem in future updates.
What the developer does not make clear is that, in a way, the criticized missions compete with their own store. Although it is possible to finish the game without buying any microtransactions, it is possible to invest in items from uPlay that speed up the amount of experience the player gains – something that would not be exactly necessary if there were dozens of missions that offer levels quite easily.
