Android 12 QPR3 Beta 3 shows the vibration icon in the status bar

While Android 12 has made many interesting changes to the table, has also made some questionable decisions, such as removing the icon of the vibration from the status bar. The change was not appreciated by many users. Android 13 Beta 1 reported that Google was working to restore this change and in fact the icon is back with Android 12 QPR3 Beta 3.

As noted by Mishaal Rahman, the latest beta version of Android QRP3 brings back the ability to display the vibration icon in the status bar. Currently, Pixel phones running Android 12 show no icon in the status bar when you set your smartphone to vibrate mode, displaying only the mode icon silent. But in Android 12 QRP3 Beta 3, there is a new “Always show icon in vibrate mode” switch in Settings> Sound and vibration which allows you to undo this change.

One of the few changes in Android 12 QPR3 Beta 3 is the addition of a toggle to show the vibrate icon in the status bar. This was hinted at in Android 13 Beta 1, but the settings toggle wasn’t there.https: //t.co/bMuTZRFZTi

The latest beta also adds a new widget category “Drums“In Pixel Launcher, making it less cluttered for average users to find the new battery widget that first debuted on Android 12L Beta 3.
