Using the CryEngine, Double Helix and Amazon Web Services, Amazon has created its own graphics engine for the joy of those who love to develop games and have no intention or cannot spend euros to buy a license, its name is Lumberyard and for now it is in the BETA phase.

The software is compatible with all versions of Windows from Vista to 10 and allows you to develop games for both PC and console, supports portable devices and of course virtual reality (which will be added later). Among the compatible services we also find Twitch, which can be integrated into your games to allow streaming or ChatPlay and JoinIn.

Amazon is keen to inform users that the final version will also be distributed for free, the company intends to monetize through GameLift, a service based on Cloud technology, which will create servers for multiplayer games that developers will build with Lumberyard.
